Take a tour sipping some of the best German wines along the Rhine from Mainz. You'll journey through the picturesque Rheingau, Rhine wine regions. Discover world famous Riesling from a 900 year old palace - chateau winery and unique German Pinot Noir from a historic monastery. Go into the Rhein valley vineyards for picturesque views and to appreciate the steep work. This tailored tour combines breathtaking scenery while learning about the regions history Along the way, we will stop at award-winning, historically significant, Grand Cru German vineyards from noble Riesling estates. We will travel through small historic villages along the Rhine river as it curves its way down to Rüdesheim am Rhein. During a hosted, personal tasting you will try selection of wines that will give you an in-depth insight into the world of German wines and the unique climate and history from the Rhein valley Tour Highlights: * Perosnal small group tour hosted by expert wine guide. Tour time around 6 hrs. Start time based on consultation and is more flexible during summer and can even be nice as a late afternoon activity slurping wines into the sunset. * Taste a variety of 20+ special wines from famous vineyards and organic wineries * 2 -3 in-depth wine tastings at historical & boutique wineries based on your taste * Get close to nature going into the vineyards views of the Rhein valley * Light lunch of wine tapas, german baked treats, cheese, charcuterie, local Bratwurst during a picnic in the vineyards, or lunch by the Rhein. * Water to stay hydrated. * Service shipping wines for you (not inc shipping costs - about €12 -15 per bottle) Custom Pick up requests possible. Frankfurt possible for an additional €80 p.p Small Group Tour: I believe wine is best shared with friends and more the merrier! Open wines & open minds! It can be during the busier travel times that I have to manage many thirsty requests of wine lovers coming to Germany. I always keep my groups small (max 7p ) usually its just another wine-loving couple who share your thirst! I always consider individual requests and keep it personal.
