Highlights and Inclusions on this Wine Tour

When most people think of Bavaria... Beer and pork knuckles come to mind. Well that might be the case in the Bavarian capital of Munich but what most people don't realise is that as you enter Bavaria...probably on route to Nuremberg or Munich you pass the charming city of Würtzberg and its marvellous, steep sloped, surrounding wine region of Franken. Take a wine tour through wunderbar vineyards and quench your thirst with some unique juicy Silvaner and Spätburgunder that usually comes pouring from cute little round "Bocksbeutels". Enjoy fine Bavarian bratwursts or pretzel covered schnitzel during a grape day out exploring this lesser know but highly regarded wine region. Wine Styles: Franken is famous for a grape called Silvaner . Most Silvaner wines today are dry and show crisp minerality with green fruit or stone fruit notes. You will also taste some unique dry Riesling growing on shell stone steep vineyards. Some of Germany's best Pinot Noir can also be found in Franken . Along the way we will visit hidden gem francoinian, tradional wine villages away from the tourist crowd and there is an option to visit a smaller Bavarian Shcloss -The Weikersheim Palace Garden. Highlights & Inclusions Visit a mix of smaller, and also classic, iconic Franconian wine estates to experience the history and special wines of the region. Based on the wine flow you will experience 3 wine tastings with a lunch stop at a local wine tavern to try local Franconian dishes all incldued. Refreshments, vineyards tours with amazing views, hotel pick up, service helping to ship wine also included Wine tour starting point: A grape day out to the Franken wine region starts from Frankfurt. Saving some car time more wine time... I suggest staying in the centre of the Franconian wine Region at its wine capital - Würtzberg. * Pick up from Mainz also possible on request ** Nuremberg pick up is possible on request with additional fee If your very thirsty get in touch for a multiple day grape escape across Franken and other wines regions like Baden, Pfalz or Rheingau.
