Follow the Rhine south through a landscape of steep vineyards, medieval towers, and estates that have been producing world-class Riesling since the 12th century. This is the Rheingau — Germany's most aristocratic wine corridor, and one of the oldest Riesling regions on earth. The day takes you inside three of its greatest estates: Schloss Vollrads, Schloss Johannisberg, and a hand-picked boutique winery — each with a personal tasting guided by the people who make the wine. Along the way, step inside a UNESCO-listed 12th century Rhineland castle, restored to its Romantic-era grandeur, and taste the wine made within its walls.
